Lorraine found me online after seeing Cornelius and Kassandra’s wedding video. She was getting a little depressed about getting married at courthouse, she felt like it would hurried and devoid of feelings. I told her it doesn’t matter where you get married love shines no matter where you are. And boy did it shine, I had so much fun running around the city documenting their special day. I could feel and see the love. It was such a joy and honor to document their wedding. I wish you guys the best.

It was a rainy and windy day in Brookyn when I met up with Jalia & Makenzie. We did not let the cloudy day stop us from having loads of fun. We traipsed all around the water front, under the bridge, and even on the merry-go-round. Jalia & Mackenzie’s love was just so much to capture on film, it was like I wasn’t even there. On Assignment | Easter Sunday in Harlem

Yesterday I took my camera to the streets of Harlem. I have lived in Harlem for over 8 years and this place is home to me. I have been wanting to document Sunday Morning in Harlem. There is something magical that happens to this little Hamlet when the sun first comes out, especially on Easter Sunday. It can be seen early as Friday night, when the work week ends. People are doing last minute shopping for hats, stockings and dresses to parade around on Sunday morning. As Saturday looms over Sunday, you can see the barber shops and beauty salons packed with church goers as they get their hair done. Below is just a taste of what Harlem is like on Sunday. Shooting outdoors in January is tricky. Trying to make people look good without people knowing how cold it actually is outside is quite tricky. However, I was in luck with Madhu & Srinivas we had fall weather in January, thus making our Highline Park & Meatpacking photo session so much fun. After having a big wedding with family and friends the lucky never got a chance just to get some candid shots of them. And they were pros… I guess it helps that Madhu is Srinivas’s love, muse & model. They were just a joy and sweet couple don’t take my word for it, just look at the photos. Enjoy-

The end of 2011 was so exciting and thrilling. I had the opportunity to go to Costa Rica ( San Jose, La Fortuna & Playas del Coco) for a working vacation. CR is such a lovely country with truly friendly people. I started my trip in San Jose at Casa Abierta B & B with Darrylle, who simplest is a great host; then I was off to La Fortuna where I stayed Gerald’s The Sleeping Indian Hostel & Guesthouse, where I had my first cup of coffee ( i think i might be hooked) and I ended my stay in Playas del Coco at Marina’s Loft and Hotel, where Stefania hooked me up with the best spots to go diving. I cant say enough about these three places they were simply the best!!!
