Mission
The aim of Carucha L. Meuse Foundation is to promote visual literacy by bridging the gap between news outlets and the communities they cover.
By introducing young people to the business of newspapers, radio, tv, magazine and online media, CLM Foundation hopes to bring more diversity in the newsrooms.

Purpose
To enhance the sense of identity, self-esteem and self-knowledge of African American, African, Caribbean and Latin American peoples by educating them how to work with news outlets to build better representation of their culture and communities.
To provide an educational forum that promotes an appreciation and understanding of African American, African, Caribbean and Latin American culture and its rich contribution to North America.
To offer African American, African, Caribbean and Latin American greater access to organizations that covers their communities.
To introduce African American, African, Caribbean and Latin American to the careers of visual journalist, writers, producers, editors, bloggers, anchors and other media related fields.
To fulfill our special responsibility as a place of learning and training ground for the growing numbers of artists, educators, visual journalist, writers, producers, editors, bloggers, anchors and other media related fields.
